Every year, Afterburn is shaped by the people who bring their creativity, passion, and participation to the event. The camps, art installations, interactive experiences, workshops, gathering spaces, and unexpected moments created by our community are what transform a simple campground into something extraordinary.
As we prepare for Afterburn: Transcend, we’re excited to announce that Theme Camp Applications and Art Grant Applications are now officially open.
Theme Camps are at the heart of the Afterburn experience. They create opportunities for connection, exploration, learning, play, performance, relaxation, and everything in between. Whether you’re returning with a well-loved camp or bringing a brand-new idea to life, we want to hear what you’re planning.
If you and your crew are ready to contribute to the event, submit your application today:
Theme Camp Application
Art has always been central to the Afterburn experience. Large or small, interactive or contemplative, art helps create the moments that inspire, challenge, surprise, and connect us.
If you have a project you’d like to bring to Afterburn and could benefit from financial support, we encourage you to apply for an Art Grant. We’re looking for projects that embody creativity, participation, and the spirit of the event.
Art Grant Application
Theme camps and art projects help create the spaces and experiences that make Afterburn memorable, but they aren’t the only way to contribute. Volunteers are the foundation of the event, helping everything run smoothly before, during, and after the gathering. From Greeters and Rangers to Gate, Placement, Site Operations, and countless other teams, there are opportunities for participants of all experience levels to get involved.
If you’re looking for ways to contribute, visit our Get Involved page to learn more about volunteer departments and opportunities throughout the organization.
Ready to jump in? You can view open shifts and sign up directly through Volunteeripate.
However you choose to participate—through art, a theme camp, volunteering, performance, workshops, or simply lending a hand—you help create the experience we all share.
Afterburn isn’t something that’s produced for participants—it’s something we create together. Every camp, every art piece, every performance, every workshop, and every act of participation adds something meaningful to the event.
The most memorable parts of Afterburn don’t come from a schedule or a stage. They come from the people who decide to share their talents, ideas, and creativity with the community.
We can’t wait to see what you bring to Transcend.
Afterburn: Transcend takes place November 13–15, 2026, at Camp La Llanada in Lake Wales, Florida.
Bring your vision. Build something meaningful. Help create the experience.
