If you’re coming to Florida Afterburn 2026, this is the guide you want to read before you arrive.
The Florida Afterburn Guidebook brings together the information you need to understand the event, prepare for your weekend, and know what to expect when you arrive at Camp La Llanada. Think of it as your roadmap to Afterburn — part practical handbook, part introduction to how we do things out here.
Inside, you’ll find information about camping, cabins, the property, arrival and departure, what to bring, our departments and volunteer culture, event spaces, safety, connectivity, community expectations, and the principles that help shape the weekend.
We’ve also taken some time to explain why certain things work the way they do.
Afterburn isn’t a traditional festival, and some of our policies may be different from what you’re used to at other events. Things like limited re-entry, participant responsibility, leave-no-trace expectations, and our approach to community participation aren’t arbitrary rules. They’re part of creating a temporary space where we can step away from the default world and participate more fully in the experience we’re building together.
You don’t need to memorize the Guidebook. But we do ask that you read it before you arrive.
The more prepared you are, the less time you’ll spend figuring out logistics once you’re on site — and the more time you’ll have to explore, participate, make art, meet people, get weird, help your neighbors, and enjoy the swamp.
We’re still putting the finishing touches on the site map. The map will be made available as soon as it’s ready, and we’ll update the Guidebook and share it with the community when it becomes available.
In the meantime, the Guidebook is already a great place to start preparing.
Whether this is your first Burn or you’ve been doing this for years, take some time to read through the Guidebook before November.
Bring what you need. Make a plan. Know where you’re going. Understand what you’re getting into.
Then come ready to participate.
